Client Feedback
Comments from producers and station staff about working with us on studios, cameras, sound and lighting.
What clients say
The gallery was labelled and documented so well that our own engineers took over without a single call back. Rehearsals showed up problems early, and the first live bulletin ran to time with no surprises in the control room.
Marcus Hillier · Series Producer, talk programmeCamera positions were planned before anyone arrived, and the operators knew their shots. Our panel show looked consistent from the first rehearsal.
Alison Treharne · Station Manager, local broadcasterOur interview room echoed badly. After the measurements and treatment, guests sounded clear and we stopped fixing speech in the edit.
Gareth Linnell · Studio Manager, independent production companyLighting was balanced so our presenters looked the same at the start and end of a long broadcast. The written plan made the work easy to follow.
What clients tend to notice about our work
The comments we receive are rarely about a single piece of equipment. They tend to describe how a studio feels to work in once the installation is finished: whether the crew know where everything is, whether rehearsals are calm and whether the first live programme goes out without drama.
Producers often mention documentation. Labelled cabling, routing notes and written handover material mean your own engineers can maintain the gallery without calling us for every question. We write these notes because we know our own memory is not a reliable part of anyone's broadcast chain.
Station managers more often talk about planning. A site survey, a written quotation and a clear order of work let them approve each stage knowingly and explain the spend to colleagues. Nothing is confirmed until the quotation has been agreed in writing.
Camera and presenter teams usually remark on rehearsal. Walking through the rundown, adjusting shots and balancing lights with real people in the room finds problems while they are still cheap to fix. Presenters tend to feel more at ease for it.
We read all feedback, including the critical kind, and use it to adjust how we survey rooms, brief crews and hand work over. Where a client suggests a better way to run a rehearsal or a handover, it goes into the next project.
