Studio services for live television teams
Five areas of work, from gallery equipment and camera crews to acoustics, lighting and the rundown, so a live programme has a reliable technical footing from the first rehearsal.
Five disciplines, planned together for live work
Live television fails at the joins between departments, so we cover camera, sound, lighting, equipment and workflow under one roof. You can hire one discipline or several, and the plans are written to fit each other from the start.
Tell us the format, the room and your target air date, and we will say which services fit. Scope is agreed in writing before any work begins.
ContactStudio Equipment Integration
Specification and equipment list
We review your formats, crew size and budget, then write a specification covering vision mixer, monitor wall, intercom and signal routing, with reasons for each choice so your team can challenge it.
Installation and cabling
Racks, cable runs and patching are installed to a documented layout and labelled clearly. Your engineers can then trace any signal later without relying on our memory.
System testing
Every path from camera to output is checked, including intercom talkback and monitoring feeds. Faults found at this stage are corrected before presenters ever sit in the studio.
Handover and operator notes
We walk your operators through the gallery and leave written notes on routing, labelling and routine checks, so day-to-day running does not depend on our presence.
From first enquiry to a studio ready for air
Every engagement follows the same path, whichever services you choose. It keeps decisions visible, gives your team something concrete at each stage and leaves little to chance on the day of the first live broadcast.
Enquiry and brief
You describe the programme, the room and the crew through the contact page. We ask follow-up questions about format, audience, guests and the broadcast chain, so that we understand what the studio has to carry week after week.
What you leave withA shared written summary of the programme and what the studio must do.
Site visit and survey
We visit the studio or intended space and look at power, rigging points, noise and sightlines. Priya, Tom and Helen each take their own measurements and notes, so findings are specific rather than general.
What you leave withA survey note covering the room, its limits and what can be changed.
Written plan and quotation
We set out the work, the equipment and the people involved, then send a written quotation. You can question any line, remove items or phase the work before anything is confirmed.
What you leave withA quotation you can approve, amend or decline.
Installation and rehearsal
Work is carried out in the agreed order, followed by technical rehearsals with your presenters and crew. Cameras, sound and lighting are balanced against one another under realistic conditions.
What you leave withA tested studio and a rehearsal log noting adjustments.
On-air support and review
For live programmes we can support the first broadcasts, then review what worked and what to adjust. Findings go to your team in writing, so changes are made calmly rather than mid-show.
What you leave withA short review with recommended adjustments.
Talk to us about your studio
Send a short description of your programme and room through the contact page. We will reply with questions and, once scope is clear, a written quotation.
